Good Love Story

For starters, good movie. The pacing was good and the acting was good. This movie was written well. I think that this is a movie a lot of actors can relate to and may touch a nerve. This movie touches on how on set relationships can get started or rekindled. The actors definitely displayed that relational tension. Can you date or be married to an actor? Can you maintain a successful career and a relationship with someone who is not an actor? Big balancing act. All of these questions came to mind when viewing this movie. Brought up some old memories and questions I had about this subject for many years. The director and writer nailed it with this one. Overall, is was a beautiful story.

Love - complex and simple

This is an intelligent, heartfelt movie that really engages you. I don't know if any elements in this film were autobiographical, but it felt too lived in for me to believe that nothing from someone's real life didn't find its way into this movie. I really liked that this film portrayed something both real and cinematic about love. The lead characters, in both the their shared past history and in their current lives, are conveying something complex and simple about emotional connections. Complex enough to be real, but also emotional enough to to make this a truly crowd-pleasing story. Well written and directed, with characters we identify with and cheer for. A story told well from both sides of view. I was thoroughly charmed by this movie!

Very Smart Relationship Drama

A budding playwright (Tom Phelan) pens a play about heartbreak surrounding a former girlfriend (the charming Alex Frnka) leaving him for a woman. When auditions commence for the lead roles, fate intervenes as the playwright lands the male lead, and his ex emerges as the perfect fit for the female lead. Director Chris Frint has crafted a captivating romance/drama, inviting audiences on a compelling journey of self-reflection and rekindled connections. In less skilled hands, this premise might've grown stale quickly. However, writer Tyler Dowey's script is both intelligent and emotionally gripping, ensuring the narrative remains fresh and engaging throughout. Supporting characters are also intelligently drawn (Phelan's character is married; Frnka is planning her impending wedding to her wife-to-be). As the two leads delve into their roles during rehearsals, old feelings for each other resurface, straining their current relationships. Cinematography and sound are solid. I highly recommend this endearing indie gem! It's perfect for a date night.
