THE PACKAGE is a low budget thriller with a digital look to it. It takes a while to get going and is saddled with a too-big cast at the outset, with lots of myriad characters who end up getting bumped off. Finally things even out and become simpler as Steve Austin emerges as the hulking hero of the hour while Dolph Lundgren relishes the opportunity to play the villain set against him. A series of violent, well-shot fight scenes in the second half make this reasonably watchable although it is very predictable and uninspiring in terms of the story.
