The Human Factor is a meticulous character study of a widowed police officer and his teenaged daughter. Difficult to say much more about plot without risking spoilers. There is a criminal investigation, but this is not your average procedural, not by any means. Exquisite performances, cinematography, design, editing, score. Really one of the best things I've discovered hidden in amongst all the 'product' that fills the streaming sites. The director's history is in documentaries, but this demonstrates a real touch for narrative work. A slowburn but contantly gripping. Human indeed. I strongly recommend it.
