You could argue whether what value, if any, the reality TV stars bring to the entertainment industry - here, the criticism this documentary draws comes from criticism of the real housewives themselves, and that's not really fair, if you think about it.

So you begin watching, and quickly, it falls upon you, the documentary itself isn't really trying much. I knew very little of Shah's case, and the now I know not much more. The negligible informative aspect of the movie is one thing, taking sides (in an then-ongoing case) is another - towards the end of the movie, you can physically feel the mood shifting: from the sensationalist blaming to pretty much defending Shah, picturing her as a warrior, with a survivor heroic background music.

Ultimately, none of it matters if the Jen Shahs of the world are tried or sentenced. The people sitting for the interviews make it pretty clear: "I'm still gonna watch".
