Great remake, the original is perfect but this is.... great!

Well, well, well..... As an Italian, I can only be proud of this film: it is the Italian version of the Spanish thriller/mystery "El Cuerpo" (2012), already known in the rest of the world also as "The Body".What can I say... Having already appreciated the original so much that I called it the most brilliant thriller of decade 2010/2020 (I gave it a rating of 10/10), this morning, when I saw that Amazon Italy had just uploaded it, I even postponed some commitments I had previously made! And I must say that my expectations were largely met, the Italian transposition of the screenplay is quite faithful, only nuances and many details change, the original music is stunning and the choice of the Italian song used in tree topic parts of the movie ("Piccolo Uomo" by Mia Martini, 1972), is remarkably; it is also worth saying that the direction, editing and photography, as well as the post production, are truly top-notch. And in fact, from a purely cinematographic point of view, it can be considered even better than the original. The acting is also quite appreciable, on the other hand we are faced with a cast of more than good quality, it also includes, for example, Claudia Gerini, a long-time professionist (who in recent years has managed to carve out a certain authority as a dramatic actress) and Giuseppe Battiston (who, in this film, has to compare with none other than Jose Coronado....), an actor so good that he is rightly in great demand for both dramatic and brilliant roles.Highly recommended to all, especially to the Italian audience, but the original remains, in my very modest opinion, an absolute masterpiece of genius.
