Plot summary

Using a mysterious device - the Stereoscope - that seems to allow time travel between worlds, a determined young girl searches for the father she thought was dead. But hunting her every step of the way is a monster from one of those worlds - The Reek.

A watchable horror movie...

I was not familiar with this 2024 horror movie "Stereoscope" prior to stumbling upon it by random chance here in 2025. And with it being a horror movie, of course I had to check it out, given my love of all things horror. And I was not familiar with the 2020 series of the same name, with some of the same cast members and characters, so I don't know if the movie is a continuation of the events in the series, or if it a re-make, or whatever it is.Regardless, as it was a movie that I wasn't familiar with, then director Lena Tsodykovskaya had every opportunity to entertain and bedazzle me with this movie.I was not familiar with the actors and actresses on the cast list, but I will say that I found the acting performances to be fair and good.The effects in the movie were fair. It was oddly interesting, but I enjoyed the way that they opted to go with the creature design of The Reek.While "Stereoscope" was indeed a watchable movie, it is hardly a movie that warrants more than just a single viewing.My rating of director Lena Tsodykovskaya's 2024 movie "Stereoscope" lands on a five out of ten stars.
