The story is simple but well-paced. I enjoyed every second of the movie. It's funny but not condescending. The main characters are lovable, with their own issues. I also love the dynamic in the group. I mean who wouldn't want to flirt with Peter ;) It also reminds me how beautiful Galway is.
The ending just pulled the audience back into reality, and that's probably what most people with intellectual and developmental disabilities have to face daily-bad laws with 'good intention' but never asked their opinions. It is sad but at least in the case of Larry and Sophie, they have each other, caring friends and a very supportive career. Most people with disabilities in the same situation probably won't even have either in the list. I hope one day people like Sophie and Larry can live happily ever after, with their friends, enjoy life as they wish.
It might be too much to hope a film to solve all issues. Nevertheless, it's a very enjoyable movie and beautifully made.
