Horrible

There was a time Roseanne was fresh, new and funny. She had a unique point of view -- that of a middle class, bored, angry housewife. And that point of view is what enabled a network to build a show around her comedy. I happened open this latest Roseanne venture and was shocked. What happened to her talent? Seriously, how can you slip that much? I don't know what has happened to her. If this is any indication of her act...wow. Boy has her comedy gone downhill. There is not a smart joke. Nothing is humor. It is all bitter spewing of anger. There was a time her bitterness was funny. Sorry no longer funny. Watching this is like listening to a foul mouthed friend complain too long. While she has not lost her edge -- she has lost her sense of humor. I find that sad. Even if you WERE a Roseanne fan at one time, this mess will not bring you back into her fan base. Just really too bad. There was a time that Roseanne was a brilliant comic. That time has passed.

Rigid performance that lacked laughs...

Right, well this was actually the first time that I have watched Roseanne Barr doing comedy, as I sat down here in 2022 to watch the 2006 comedy show "Roseanne Barr: Blonde and Bitchin'".

I have to admit that I didn't really know what to expect here, as I wasn't familiar with Roseanne Barr doing comedy, aside from what I used to watch on the TV during my teenage years, as I watched "Roseanne" on TV.

And as the comedy show ended, I must admit that I wasn't particularly impressed with what I just sat through. I wasn't brought to laughter once throughout the 57 minutes that Roseanne performed. The contents of the jokes just fell short of entertaining me. And it felt very staged and somewhat wooden, as Roseanne Barr didn't really have a natural flow to her delivery of the material on the stage.

This is not something that I will ever return to watch a second time, nor has it caused me to rush out to get to watch more of Roseanne Barr's comedy, if there is any more out there.

My rating of "Roseanne Barr: Blonde and Bitchin'" lands on a two out of ten stars.
