Appreciate the effort, but not quite.

Several times during the movie, I noticed what the screenwriter had intended but couldn't be realized by the director. Whether it was due to a lack of time, budget, passion, or capability, I cannot say. The film's biggest weakness, in my opinion, is the lack of emotional depth in the characters, and thus their credibility. Time and again, I tried to immerse myself in the film, only to be pulled out moments later by absurd plot holes and erratic narrative jumps without clear motives. The occasionally poor acting, combined with the predominantly regional actors with a strong local flair and at times incomprehensible dialects, added to this. The succession of one film homage after another, without building the characters and their relationships, felt more like a Hollywood action documentary than a feature film. The first half of the movie gets one star from me, the second half a commendable five stars, resulting in an overall score of three stars. A highlight for me was the actress playing the refugee girl, whose natural charisma overshadowed all other participants in front of the camera.
