Plot summary

Schoolteacher Elizabeth Scott and businessman/philanthropist Donovan Darcy are blissfully in love and newly engaged. As the weeks fly by and the arrangements for their small autumn wedding grow more elaborate and Donovan, wrapped up in his work, is increasingly unavailable. Reminded yet again of their tremendous differences in background and temperament, Elizabeth can’t help but ask herself: should she marry Mr. Darcy?

The main character was very childish and self-centred.

Movie was great but Elizabeth was

I give the movie a 5 just because I loved the first one. I feel as if Elizabeth's character should not have been so much complaining the wedding should have been about both there parents an not so much about her an so being complex. But all in all it work out at the end. It needs to be a part three Titling "The Darcy's Honeymoon" .

Could have been better

Loved "Unleashing Mr Darcy", and eagerly awaited this sequel. Rather disappointed. The writing was rather lame. direction was too loose. At the end of several scenes, the conversations just died. Lizzy just sits there and grins foolishly. No comeback from her or toward Aunt Violet! Frances Fisher's character lacks credibility. Aunt Violet would not have given in and accepted Lizzy so easily, even to get back into Donovan's good graces. Given her scheming in the first movie, she would have done more to squeeze Lizzy out! This conflict would have created some much needed tension among the main characters and stirred up some more interest. Also, Lizzy's(Cindy's) voice in many scenes is too loud and shrill, such as during the video call with her mother and sister Jenna.. They were giggling like a bunch of teenage schoolgirls and Lizzy's voice was almost like a screech. The only one who seems true to his character is Donovan(Ryan Paevey). At times, he looks like he is wondering what is going on and how he got there. One last criticism! For an educated man, Donovan's poor grammar in one scene is glaring! When talking to Henry in his office one evening, he states he wants the "honeymoon to be about Elizabeth and I." Any elementary school student understands "about" is a preposition and takes the objective form of what follow. i.e., He should have referred to "Elizabeth and ME." The movie did start off on a good note, literally. The dance scene on the rooftop terrace was the best in the movie. The music was romantic and their closeness reflected their love and caring. I was disappointed that there wasn't more of that tenderness and romance.
