A Stage Play on Film

This movie is essentially as stage play that is set in a single living room in a house where three sisters live with their mom and their aunt.From the beginning, we get to see the contentious relationship between the three very different sisters and their mother. Each sister has a different father. The mother (played by Vivica Fox) is formerly a drug addict.The actors do an excellent job of creating the characters and maintaining the consistency of the characters.Yes, it sounds a little "stagy" at first as the actors seem to be speaking in stage voices as if projecting to a live audience. So it takes a few minutes to get into the flow of the movie.The characters sometimes come across as caricatures because each one expresses herself in the extreme. For example, there is the "slutty" sister who acts VERY slutty. And there is the "religious" sister who quotes the Bible and says "Praise Jesus" constantly. And there is the "materialistic" sister who is very materialistic.But if you look at it as a play and not as a movie and imagine yourself sitting in a theater watching it live you may very much enjoy it. I did.

Funny romance comedy

You have to see Lamman Rucker and Clifton Powell in this movie!!! Players certified!! Lol!
