Plot summary

A group of kidnappers take the son of a wealthy presidential candidate in Haiti. Doc and Zoe are two amateur gangsters tasked with delivering the young man to their ruthless boss. With a hitman on their trail, Zoe accidentally kills the hostage. Panicked, Doc and Zoe come across Patrick and his very pregnant wife Laura. Patrick looks exactly like the senator’s dead son. Doc and Zoe decide to abduct the couple and replace the candidate's son with Patrick.

Decent dark comedy thriller of the Haitian landscape

As a whole, it's premise and concept isn't grand but the chaotic nuanced atmosphere and chemistry between the characters offer a fun decent action comedy with some good social political themes of Haiti placed between.Knowing the production and behind the scenes making, the movie itself isn't perfect for sure. Some of the production, presentation and editing choices are not great. And some of the performances aren't great. But what makes it still fun is the chaotic non-serious nature, fun chemistry between the two main leads and the good pacing that never fails to stop it's tracks. The filmmaker clearly has a passion for chaotic action thrillers and it does offer a good balance with the action and comedy elements mixed together.Overall, a decent action movie from Haiti.

Kidnapping INC is a masterpiece-a bold mix of Haiti's harsh realities, dark humor, and sharp satire. It captures the country's struggles, resilience, and the humor found in chaos. It's a stunning movie with gripping storytelling, sharp dialogue, and a raw yet immersive experience. The visuals and performances bring Haiti's complex reality to life. If you miss Haiti, this is the movie to watch. If you're looking for a deeper understanding of Haiti Kidnapping INC is that MOVIE. PERIOD.Alongside FREDA from Gessica Geneus, in my opinion i would say it sets a new international standard for Haitian cinema. KUDOS !

Action packed, funny, and nuanced. 10/10

Recommend 10/10Kidnapping Inc's story rides the delicate line of being funny, nuanced, and sensitive in its approach to a recent and devasting social phenomenom plaguing Haiti.The acting, plot twist, and production are all excellent. Most surprisingly, the movie showcases a wide variety of settings in Port-au-Prince, providing a more complete picture of the city than the negative images news media insist on showing.This movie is action-packed, funny, and deep all at once with social commentary on how poverty, corruption, and greed affect all levels of society. The character development and plot get a chef's kiss.
