Ft. Billy Graham and his crusades ...

This movie carries a very good message of salvation after a near-divorce and a near-death. It shows us what years of drifting away from THEOS can do and that in such circumstances only dramatic events can change the course of death into life. But this movie is sadly also a very negative surprise. I had previously deleted all movies produced by James F. Collier, but somehow missed this and had my first dose of a mini-sermon of Billy Graham towards the end of the movie, as earlier hinted at through 2 short dialogues. Knowing of the evil nature of Graham, I was all the more surprised how he perfectly matches the description of the Bible, precisely as an 'Angel of Light'. A perfect masquerade, eloquence and charisma. Everything that makes Satan as good as he is in deceiving people. I now better understand why so many people fell for him and had been drawn into the arms of the Catholic church & the Southern Baptist Convention. Please study the discernment of this person.About the producer: James F. Collier was sort of Billy Graham's right hand in the movie industry (Collier was also a Presbyterian; he produced from the late 1950s - 1988 for Billy Graham's World Wide Pictures; Caught, Cry from the Mountain, For Pete's Sake!, Time to Run, Joni, The Hiding Place, The Prodigal ...).

Those Alaskan Summer Vistas

Young Chris Kydd is not looking forward to the father and son kayaking trip with the enthusiasm he should be. The reason is because father Wes Parker is going to use the opportunity to tell him that he and mother Rita Walter who is also pregnant by the way will be breaking up. It seems as though Parker had himself an office fling that got way out of hand. Kids sense these things and Kydd is no different.

But while on this trip they come upon an old mining ghost town from the gold rush days and an old hermit played by Jonathan Cavan who just lives for those religious broadcasts from I assume CBN on his short wave radio. Billy Graham is conducting a crusade in Anchorage, Alaska and Cavan would love to scratch up enough money to see Graham preach in person.

This Christian film from the Billy Graham Evangelical Association has a good budget and you will love the scenic vistas of the Alaskan summer shown. The performances are sincere as well and I'm sure it did well on the evangelical film circuit.

Cry From The Mountain features the farewell performance of Coleen Gray playing Walter's mother. Her's was a career that saw her working with Victor Mature, John Wayne, John Payne, and Bing Crosby among others. At least she didn't go the horror picture route.
