Plot summary

A sweet, fun rom-com for Christmas

This movie has all the right rom com vibes and a clever cast to bring it altogether. A beautiful array of actors, clever dialogue and a classic story book location. The photography is beautiful. The story moves along at a consistent and engaging pace and there are a lot of lovable and relatable characters. Our family sat down to watch and we laughed often as there's great comedic acting here too. All in all, an easy pick for the whole family to agree on. And as Mum, there weren't any awkward moments to hide the kids eyes on. We can add this to the regular Christmas watch list from here on in. Thanks.

Wouldn't watch twice

If you can past the acting. It has a fairly good story line...it's Christmas. But the exceptionally stiff and un-natural bad acting on the main characters definitely ruined what may have been intended as a better movie. With better actors for the lead characters, actors with better chemistry would certainly have helped. The characters and acting by Kevin Sorbo and Corbin Berenson were more expected. Overall, given the chance I would have skipped it. If you choose to watch it, don't expect much, but you probably won't get put to sleep. Have popcorn! No tissues required. It does at least have a happy ending and a little of ridiculous comedy.
