Thanks: I did the consulting to teach her how to act Deaf!

Glad you thought so.I think she was remarkable and the hardest worker. We had a lot to do to have her go from a girl with no linguistic skills to the girl at the end. She was amazing.JoBeth also gave a brilliant performance that she worked hard to have to speak and do ASL at the same time.I also played the Nun: Sister Anne after being in so many lower budget not even 'b' films, it was great. See me on the IMDb!!The kids in the classroom and the choir? my real all deaf kids choir "Bridges Sign Choir" in LA.Keep watching and see other films I've done. Fred Gerber directed and he has also directed the award winning "Desperate Housewives" and more!!!Working a lot and many projects still, but the IMDb isn't up on them all, I can't do everything you know!!Jennifer Delora

Touching

I've seen this kind of movie before, but there was a focus, an intensity in this one that made me watch it all the way through. You do get some dreadful gaping holes in some TV movies (and I usually switch off when I just can't stand the illogic any more) but this was OK; good acting from the main character (the mute illiterate), plausible emotions from the main carer who is putting her job on the line, and from the support cast, including the abusive parents. An hour and a half you'd be challenged to assemble a decent sandwich in.
