Essential for Tim Curry fans.

Tim Curry is in his element with this little film. He is in his homeland playing an affable character who happens to be quite the ambitious showman. The Mick Jagger impression remains etched in my mind but that was just one. This is almost like a musical in the Indie film class and I consider this more of an Independent film than a TV movie. It looks more like a low budget indie film that was sold to the networks instead of theater distributors. It is a shame that it fell through the cracks of time because of this. It is shot like early Peter Jackson movies were. Many close ups. Many short sharp scenes. The plot is pretty good. Larry, a cabbie who dreams of being in show business ends up with a quarter million pounds sitting in his cab and decides to go on the run with it. Simple but it gets complicated enough to be entertaining. Curry has alot of great scenes. Worth searching out.
